Biography

Chase Moore is Director of Musical Theatre, and Associate Professor of Music at Eastern Arizona College, where he directs one choral ensemble and teaches undergraduate courses in piano and general music. As an active choral clinician and conductor, Mr. Moore has worked with various choirs in Arizona, Kentucky, and Tennessee, including Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity’s Men of Song chorus. His choral ensemble has toured throughout southeast Arizona and has become a musical staple in the Gila Valley.

Mr. Moore maintains an active schedule as a conductor, pianist, and adjudicator. He recently presented at the Arizona Thespian Festival about vocal health for the young singer. Mr. Moore also performs frequently as a guest pianist and accompanist nationally. Mr. Moore continues to be very active within the Arizona Choral Director’s Association serving as the Collegiate Repertoire and Resources Chair for the state of Arizona. A lifelong church musician, he has previously served in Southern Baptist Churches in Kentucky. A native of Somerset, Kentucky, Mr. Moore frequently played in churches across the Bluegrass for 16 years.

Mr. Moore received the Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance from Eastern Kentucky University, and the Master of Music degree in choral conducting from Eastern Kentucky University – with a second emphasis in piano performance. He has studied conducting with Richard Waters and piano with Richard A. Crosby, and has conducted in master classes led by Jeffrey Redding and Eugene Rogers. He holds active memberships in the American Choral Directors Association, Music Teachers National Association, National Association of Music Education, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia (’11). He currently resides in Safford, Arizona.
